A group of eighth and ninth-grade students participated in the “Young Solar Challenge”, held annually in the Netherlands.
The first stage involved designing and building solar boats. Our students hosted students from the Dutch Helen Parkhurst School to collaborate on the boat-building process and prepare for the competition. In the second stage, our students traveled to the Netherlands and stayed with the families of the Dutch students who were their guests in the first stage. Three teams from our school participated in the race with boats they built.
