The mind is a result of nature and nurturing environment. ANS through its learning and teaching philosophy has been concerned in providing positive and safe environment to foster, encourage and support outstanding achievement among all students within the scope of personal interests, abilities and learning patterns in different settings be it individual or within a group.
We believe that a school is a place in which every individual is nurtured and provided differentiated learning opportunities to achieve utmost potential for the self fulfillment and of betterment of society. We stress the right of all students to progress intellectually, emotionally, and socially according to their special abilities, while maintaining a sense of dignity and developing a positive self-concept.
The mind has limitless capacity and ability. We hope through our programs to recognize the special talents of each of our students and roll them towards and endless path of knowledge.
To meet our vision, ANS Special Education department offers two different programs:
Support Program
Support Program goals are achieved by
1) Providing teachers with needed skills and tools to match the curriculum and instruction to individual student needs.
2) Liaising with parents to better understand the student's special requirements, building a partnership toward serving their child's needs.
3) Providing students with pull-out and/or in-class instruction relevant to their special needs.
4) ensuring that students participate fully and fairly in education activities.
5) Fostering and promoting success of all students.
6) Encouraging self reliance, socially and academicly.
Enrichment Program
Enrichment Program goals are:
1) Developing creative behavior of all students.
2) Providing students with opportunities to be creative and critical thinkers.
3) Encouraging students to strive for excellence.
4) Providing students with opportunities to develop responsibility not only for them selves; but for their school, local and world communities.
5) Identifying gifted and talented students, and assist them to utilize and accomplish their fullest potential.
6) fostering creativity, intelligent choice, independent learning, talent development and proactive problem solving abilities.
