Academic counseling is an on going process through out the school. It relies on monitoring and cooperation between the student, the parents, and the teachers. However, after eighth grade the process begins to take on a more formal aspect. This is when the student has to choose to either join the National or the International program.

From the beginning of tenth grade, students start attending meetings and participating in activities that acquaint them with the requirements and opportunities of various fields of higher education. During this process the students are helped to recognize their potential, skills and values and where these factors best fit in different career categories available on the job market.

 Stages of counselling

  • Meeting for students of each class with the principal, the homeroom teacher and the academic counselor, to explain the programs.
  • Meeting with the parents, also to explain the programs.
  • Individual meetings with the parents, students or teachers if needed.

Career and University Counselling
ANS provides university and career guidance starting at grade 10

  • The academic counselor provides students with the necessary information for their future course of study.
  • A career day is held annually to make students aware of the job market and specialties needed. This also helps to open up new horizons for the students’ outlook. By the time the students graduate they will have attended three career days.
  • University Fairs and meetings with local and international university representatives who visit the school.
  • The academic counselor also helps the students with their university applications and choices, and follows through with them to the end of the application process
After tenth grade students choose to join one of the programs. In order to help the students to choose wisely and in accordance with their ability, character, and university studies, they go through a process carried out by the counseling department.
